Honey Mustard Mayo Chicken (Kids Special)


Ingredients

• 200 grams boneless chicken, thinly sliced (5-7 mm in thickness)
• 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper powder
• 1 tbsp refined or olive oil
• 1/2 medium sized onion grated
• 1/2 tbsp each of tomato sauce, mayonnaise, yellow mustard and honey – whisk well with 1/2 cup water

Marination

• Mix chicken with ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt and black pepper powder.
• Rest for 30 minutes.

Process

• In a frying pan, add the oil. When hot, add the grated onion and fry for 1-2 minutes.
• Lower the flame to between medium and low. Add the chicken pieces in the pan.
• Shallow fry the chicken well on each side for 2-3 minutes (some chicken takes 1-2 mins as well). This should be almost 70-80% cooked.
• Now pour in the sauce mix (last one on the ingredients list) and mix well all the chicken pieces.
• Lower the flame and cook the chicken for next 10-15 minutes. The sauce should have thickened by now and chicken well done.

Chicken in Coconut Milk

  1)  1 kg curry sized chicken on the bones - marinate with 1 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp red chilli powder, a pinch of hing, 2 tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp black pepper powder and salt as per taste. Marinate for 30 minutes. 2 )  Add mustard oil in a kadhai, when hot add the marinated chicken and fry well for 7-10 minutes until the chicken is 90% cooked and raw smell of chicken in gone.
