Ingredients
For fish
- Salmon
fillet - 250-300 grams
- Garlic
- 6 cloves
- Cayenne
pepper powder - 2 tsp
- Paprika
powder - 2 tsp
- chilli
powder - 1 tsp
- Garam
Masala - 1 tsp
- Pepper
powder - 1 tsp
- Yoghurt
- 200-300 grams
- Ginger
Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Salt
as per taste
- Oil -
1 tbsp (Use cooking oil spray)
- Honey
mustard 1 tbsp
For Potato Mash
- Potatoes
- 2 large cut into slices
- Tomato
- 1 finely chopped
- Green
chillies - 1 finely chopped
- Mustard
oil - few drops
- Honey
mustard - 1 tsp
- Pepper
powder - 1 tsp
Process
- Grind
6 cloves of garlic, little water, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tsp paprika and
1/2 tsp chilli powder into a watery paste.
- Rub
this mixture over the salmon fillet well on both sides and marinate in
fridge for 1 hour.
- Whisk
together yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tsp
paprika, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, garam masala, pepper powder and salt.
- Bring
out the fillet from fridge and pour the yoghurt mixture over the fillet.
Marinate for another hour.
- Pre
heat the grill/oven to 350 degrees F. On baking tray, put in a sheet of
aluminium foil and smear little oil over it. Place sliced potatoes and put
the fillet over the potatoes. Bake for 15-20 minutes depending on the size
of the fillet. check whether the fish is cooked or not. When done, broil
for 1-2 minutes at 375-400 degrees F.
- When
done place the fish on a serving tray. Pour honey mustard over it.
- Mash
the potatoes with pepper powder, honey mustard, tomato, green chillies and
few drops of mustard oil. (If you can bake the tomatoes, the taste would
be great even). Arrange the mashed potatoes besides the baked salmon.
